This weekend’s penultimate International Formula Master (IFM) rounds see the Series’ young racers take to Brands Hatch’s British curves for the first time.

With a 25-point lead, Cram Competition driver Jérôme D’Ambrosio is well placed to claim the title in front of the British crowds, although another six drivers are still in the running.

Promotorsport’s Marcello Puglisi is the only driver to have previous Brands Hatch experience out of the potential title-chasers.

“I was there last year and I’m glad I already know the track because it’s very hard so I hope it’ll be easier for me,” said the 21-year old who has scored a third and two second place finishes so far this season. “I hope to do my best and win a race this time. The car has been great ever since Porto. We found a great set-up then and have been going up and up ever since.

“The first corner, Paddock Hill, is normally very hard. You can’t actually see it from the start as it sweeps down which can make things difficult. There is a fast turn through the second part of the track that is also hard. It’s another fast blind corner which will be tricky.”

British driver Michael Meadows, is looking to steal the limelight from the Series’ regulars with his Brands Hatch knowledge this weekend. The 20-year-old guest driving for Euronova Racing finished fourth and sixth earlier this season in British F3 at Brands Hatch and is looking forward to put his experience to good use.

“Euronova Racing had their first podium in Oschersleben with Pierre Ragues,” said Meadows. “I would love to score another for them this weekend and give the British crowds something to cheer for!”
