The Fastline Group, based in Esher, Surrey, chose to exhibit at Autosport International for the first time in 2007, to launch its UK office with huge effect. On a rapid path of expansion, the Fastline Group will boast a stand double the size at the new Karting Show at Autosport International 2008, 10-13 January at the NEC, Birmingham.
Fastline’s Tim Heap reported a record number of enquiries as a result of last year’s show, more achieved than at any other show he has attended in the past five years, which converted into an impressive six fleet sales worldwide. Fastline will be back with a bigger presence in 2008, presenting its major global karting brands Rimo Karts, Flexi Track barriers, de Haardt karting control systems and AMB IT- hardware timing partners.
Fastline’s Simon Heap said: “We had a fantastic first show at Autosport International 2007, the best sales we had seen so far. We’re still following up leads from January and we are currently touring kart centres across the UK demonstrating our equipment as a result.”
Just two years old, the Fastline Group is a global distributor to hire kart centres, operating in hundreds of circuits worldwide. As part of the company’s growth, the Fastline Group recently acquired a majority interest in ROC Timing Systems and both companies will be represented on the Fastline Group stand, offering a one-stop shop for karting companies. ROC Sales Manager, Billy Keefe, and Technical Director, Tony Winters, will be at the NEC to impart their expert advice and to introduce the latest developments, including improved kart maintenance and race results displays.
Founded more than a decade ago, ROC has steadily evolved as the pre-eminent timing system in the karting sector. Progressive kart and entertainment centres around the world, including Michael Schumacher’s circuits in Germany, Daytona in the UK, and Grand Prix New York - one of the most exciting and professional new kart facilities in the US, have used ROC systems to significantly enhance their customer service management systems and overall profitability.
In fact, it was an association developed at Autosport International 2007 that led to Fastline’s acquisition of ROC Timing. Fastline are rapidly maximising the benefits of the combined company database and, with ROC operating in 41 countries, the Fastline Group now boasts a networking potential of 500 leading industry representatives in the karting and entertainment sectors.
The Karting Show at Autosport International is working with the Fastline Group to contact the impressive database, inviting every member to attend the NEC karting showcase. The initiative hopes to attract trade visitors from countries including the USA, Australia, Canada, Bulgaria, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
“With the move to promote the Karting Area to a show of its own at Autosport International, the Karting Show provides the most prominent opportunity to showcase our entire portfolio to our customers. Due to the strength of the event, we will also attract a new audience to our products and explore new opportunities across the motorsport markets.” said Simon.
