Pritchard Aiming to Keep on Track

The C2R2 Cup 2007 resumes on Saturday 6th October with the fifth and penultimate round of the rally championship, the International Rally Yorkshire. Championship leader Jason Pritchard will be looking to increase his lead in the British Rally Championship supporting one make series. The Builth Wells driver has maintained a string of good results throughout the year despite this being his first full season in the sport at the wheel of his Quick Motorsport prepared FCS Lasermail/North Road Garage Citroën C2.Along with Martin Jones performing the co-driver duties, Pritchard is learning with every rally contested and with the previous three rallies in the championship all on asphalt, he is now keen to return to gravel for the last two rallies of the year."It will be good to go back on gravel after competing on five rallies on tarmac, two of which were test events. I did the Plains Rally a few weeks back in preparation for Rally Yorkshire and felt good to be on the loose surface. It worked out to be a good test for the team and went well, with no major problems." The 2007 MSA British Rally Academy member will use such classic Yorkshire forests as Cropton and Gale Rigg on the Pickering based rally. Pritchard and his Brecon passenger will be aiming to keep their 100% finishing record in tack on the Yorkshire event."The year has gone to plan so far, we have had some minor hiccups, Ulster being our poorest result due to an electrical fault. We would love a trouble free run and to be among the front runners at the finish, putting in some strong stage results and a good end result to keep a healthy lead in the championship."Jason and Martin are supported in their 2007 campaign by FCS Lasermail and North Road Garage, Builth Wells.
