MOTORSPORT SAFETY FUND’S 2007 CHARITY XMAS CARD FEATURES ASTON MARTIN’S ONE-TWO AT LE MANS, 1959

The Motorsport Safety Fund’s 2007 charity Christmas card will warm the heart of all British motorsport fans. It features an oil painting by John Ketchell of Aston Martin’s famous 1959 one-two Le Mans victory for the DBR1s of Carroll Shelby/Roy Salvadori and Maurice Trintignant/Paul Frere.

Ketchell’s semi-abstract interpretation puts you right by the trackside, his typically vibrant use of colour betraying his personal passion for motorsport. His many motorsport commissions include F1 depictions for HSBC and marque-specific work for both Porsche and Ferrari owners’ clubs.

The cards are priced at £6.50 for 10, including envelopes, postage and packing and are available from: Motorsport Safety Fund, PO Box 200, Sevenoaks, TN15 8WZ.

The Motorsport Safety Fund is a registered charity formed in 1974 to help improve safety in motorsport. It does this mainly by communication through the annual Watkins Lecture and its publications and DVDs. The fund is run entirely by volunteers and the work it is able to do is governed by the amount of money it is able to raise. Donations from motor clubs and individuals form a significant part of the Fund’s income – those wishing to contribute should make their cheques payable to Motorsport Safety Fund and post them to: Motorsport Safety Fund, PO Box 200, Sevenoaks, TN15 8WZ, UK.
