Matt Neal says luck will play a part in deciding who replaces him as the new BTCC champion. Neal, champion the last two years, will see either Jason Plato or Fabrizio Giovnardi take over his crown at Thruxton on Sunday.

The 2005 and 2006 title-winner told BTCC.net: “More than anything it will come own to a bit of luck. There are so many outside factors involved in touring car racing – the weather, what type of bed they’ve got out of that morning and the other cars and drivers involved.”
