In 2007, he finished sixth overall as well as clinching the pro-am champion. The Yorkshireman ended the 2007 season with a 27-point margin over Andy Britnell (Motorbase Performance) as Charles Bateman (Team Parker Racing) completed the top three in the hotly contested category. Pete Osborne (Team O) and Colin Willmott (Willmott Racing) claimed fourth and fifth places in the final pro-am standings."The pro-am class was created for drivers like me," said Rice. "It gives us a chance of winning, rather than making up the numbers. I've had some very good races. Andy Britnell and Charles Bateman have been my biggest rivals. I've had a good year and each one of the pro-am wins was a highlight of the season. I'll probably be back to defend the title next year!"
