First Track Day At Renault Race Meeting

Renault Sport UK is offering a unique chance for members of the public to compare themselves against some of the best racing drivers competing in the UK today, with a track day held in conjunction with the Formula Renault UK and ELF Renault Clio Winter Cup race meeting at North Yorkshire’s challenging Croft circuit. For the first time ever, owners of Renaultsport cars are invited to take to the same race track on the same day as Clio Cup racers, who compete in a race version of the road-going Clio Renaultsport 197. With a degree of paddock access, there may also be a chance for attendees to ask Renault’s racing drivers for tips on how to get the best from their car. This special event, which takes place on Saturday, 10th November, will see two races in each championship decide the 2007 winter champions. In response to Renaultsport community member requests for more track days in the north of England, Renaultsport is the offering the opportunity to literally follow in their wheel tracks with a series of track sessions interspersed with the day’s qualifying and racing action, making it a true Renault Festival. In total, five sessions are scheduled throughout the day with each lasting 20 minutes. Each session at the 2.13-mile circuit costs just £10 per car and multiple sessions can be booked. As a bonus for booking more track time, anyone who books three or more sessions in advance will receive two race day admission tickets free of charge, making it the second free Renault motorsport event of the year after the hugely successful World Series by Renault. Anyone booking less than three sessions will be required to pay the circuit’s standard admission charge. All cars must be silenced to less than 85dba and track officials will strictly enforce this limit before releasing a car onto the circuit. In addition, all drivers must attend a mandatory briefing and sign-on before being allowed onto the circuit.Croft offers a fantastic combination of fast straights, hairpin bends and technical corners that will test every element of your driving and provide exhilarating thrills.
