Andros Trophy Returns to Motors TV

Channel 413 on Sky Digital and 545 on Virgin MediaEntering its 18th season, the Andros Trophy is getting better and better. No other ice-racing championship has reached such a high level of performance and popularity in the history of motorsport. If you need proof, look no further than last year’s champion Alain Prost. The four-time Formula One World Champion took the title in his Toyota Auris run by Toyota France and Tork Engineering.

This year, the “professor” and Toyota are back to defend their title. Prost will be the main attraction in 2007/08 supported by team mates Olivier Panis and Bertrand Balas and Richard Tur on the technical side. The calendar includes numerous traditional events including Val Thorens, Andorra, Alpe d’Huez, Lans en Vercors, Isola 2000, Serre Chevalier and Superbesse. The series is also boosted by the return of the Super Finale on 16 February 2008 at the Stade de France in Paris.

The Andros Trophy is also supported by the Pilot Bike championship which brings together the best of the world’s riders on ice.

Motors TV is delighted to broadcast Andros Trophy and Pilot Bike highlights for the third successive year. At every race meeting, a TV crew will be on site to bring viewers special behind-the-scenes documentaries about the series as well as all the action from the races every Wednesday at 18.00 following an official event (*). Each programme will last two hours and will be repeated several times to ensure fans don’t miss a thing!

(*) Except for the Alpe d’Huez round where a special programme will be broadcast on Thursday 27 December.
