2008 is shaping up to be another stunning season for Formula Master with three more teams already confirmed in addition to this year’s line-up.
Dutch outfit AR Motorsport is the latest to sign up and will run a two-car team in the Series. “Our aim is promote our drivers to Formula Master after a couple of years spent with our Formula Renault 2.0 team,” said AR Motorsport Team Principal Ronald Heilingers. “We followed Formula Master from the start but logistical issues meant that we couldn’t take part last season.
“Now is a good time to enter though and I don’t think that being one year behind some of the teams will be a problem. The key attraction for us is the promotional package. The Series has the best TV coverage when compared to other Formulae and the car offers a great challenge in terms of racing, whilst being very good value for money, which is great!”
Joining the Series alongside AR Motorsport are GP2 team Trident Racing and British Formula 3 outfit Performance Racing, bringing the 2008 grid to a total of 37 cars so far.
“Following such a great debut season, we are extremely pleased to see new teams choosing Formula Master as their future,” said Series Director Mauro Sipsz. “Additionally, having this year’s teams return to the Series for 2008 once again reinforces the level of quality and great racing that Formula Master enjoys.”
