Foose-Designed Ford Flex to Rolex Series Fan in Year-Long Promotion on SPEED Grand-Am Road Racing is teaming up with Pirelli tires and hot rod design legend Chip Foose to award a special Pirelli edition Ford Flex to a lucky fan at the championship round of the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16, Oct. 10 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.A lucky fan will be selected at each of the next 10 Rolex Series races as part of the Chip Foose - Pirelli Edition Ford Flex Giveaway, beginning with the April 25 Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway. The 10 winners will be the guests of Grand-Am and Pirelli in Miami, where one of them will get the keys to the Foose-designed Ford Flex.A 45-year-old native of Santa Barbara, Calif., Foose began working on automobiles at age 7 for his father's company. His career skyrocketed to the point where he started his own company, Foose Design, in 1998. Foose was the youngest member ever inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame at age 31 in 1997, one of his many awards and accolades. "I think the contest is awesome because somebody is going to win a really cool car," Foose said. "The Ford Flex is a great car -- and I added a few personal Foose touches, too."To participate, watch any of the upcoming Grand-Am Rolex Series races on SPEED. During each broadcast, a special Pirelli Prize Word will be shown, on camera, several times during each broadcast.
