ON SECOND BRNO TEST DAY
Lap times decreased on the second of a two-day test in Brno, Czech Republic, for International Formula Master (IFM), with Jenzer Motorsport's Fabio Leimer completing the fastest lap of the day in 1:47.632.
The Series' newest drivers also produced strong lap times; Iris Project's Patrick Reiterer was the fastest rookie this morning with a best time of 1:48.591, which placed him fourth fastest on today's overall timesheet.
Cram Competition's Alessandro Kouzkin took the top rookie honour this afternoon, with Hitech Junior's Alexander Rossi also featuring in the top eight on both occasions. Their best laps of the day saw the young drivers to seventh (Rossi) and ninth (Kouzkin) fastest overall with respective laps of 1:48.882 and 1.48.925.
Kazimeiras Vasiliauskas joined Trident Racing for his first foray in a Formula Master single-seater today and posted a fastest time of 1:49.414, whilst completing the most laps for rookies.
Testing continues next Monday and Tuesday (27-28 April) at the Hungaroring in Hungary for the last official pre-season test, ahead of the inaugural 2009 IFM rounds in Pau, France, on 16-17 May.
