More than two thousand spectators headed for Rockingham this weekend (May 2/3) to enjoy a feast of GT racing at the first Britcar race meeting to be held at the Northamptonshire Circuit.
Spectators were treated to a top weekend of endurance racing provided by some of the world’s most iconic supercars including Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lotus and Porsche.
With packed grids, the two-day event produced some drama as teams battled it out to make their mark in the Britcar GT & Production Championships and gain maximum points from the Rockingham meeting.
There was also thrilling racing from the visiting Dutch Supercar Challenge, Dunlop TVR and Porsche 924 as the support races entertained the Rockingham crowd.
Rockingham Director Charlotte Orton, said: “Despite being a late addition to the Rockingham racing calendar we are delighted with the success of the first Britcar race meeting to be held at the circuit.
“Britcar and their support races provided high drama over an action packed two days with some very close and exciting racing. The weather also encouraged people to spend the weekend outdoors.
The next race meeting at Rockingham is in four weeks time when the circuit hosts the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series & Avon Tyres British GT Championship over the weekend of May 30/31.
