SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship - Rounds 11 & 12: Lydden Hill, 15/16 August
Nick Algar took two Top 12 Run-off wins at Lydden Hill, the Gould driver dominating proceedings and setting a new Outright Course Record on Saturday. His victory on Sunday was taken despite having gear selection problems which necessitated the disconnection of the Flat Shift System.
The battle for second place has hotted-up with Mark Smith and Terry Holmes tied and Steve Broughton closing in. Steve Miles' consistency has maintained his Top Six placing whilst Glynn Sketchley put in two remarkable performances in his 1600cc Force. The two days of competition took its toll as several competitors fell by the wayside with Sunday seeing first Tony Ellis suffering suspension failure when a front bearing failed and then a rear hub failure sidelined Phil Lynch and John Payne.
