V8 SUPERCARS: BATHURST 1000 - LIVE!

The Bathurst 1000 is not only the biggest motorsport event in Australia, but one of the biggest worldwide. Located on Mount Panorama three hours from Sydney, the six kilometre circuit combines high speed corners with a snaking, twisty layout more reminiscent of a rally stage! A true challenge…

The race will see 30 V8 Supercars (Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores) each with two drivers sharing the driving duties, allowing a number of ‘foreigners’ to take on the Australian stars. A colossal battle between the Ford shared by triple champion Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes and the Holden of Garth Tander and Will Davison is expected but don’t count out the Commodore shared by the semi-retired quintuple champion Mark Skaife and Greg Murphy, who have nine wins between them at Bathurst!

For the past ten years Motors TV has been the exclusive broadcaster of the V8 Supercar Championship in Europe and the channel has, since 2001, brought LIVE coverage of the Bathurst race. This year we bring live action from the beginning of the race at 10pm on Saturday 10 October right through to the end of the race. Coverage will also include the warm up and the supporting Porsche Carrera Cup and V8 Utes races. A fantastic weekend of motorsport to savour on the ‘High Speed Television’ channel.
