MCL Motorhomes MSA British Hillclimb Championship - Rounds 31 & 32: Prescott, 5/6 September
Trevor Willis enjoyed his best ever performance, winning both rounds to guarantee second place in the 2009 MSA British Championship. 2009 champion-elect Scott Moran suffered gearbox maladies all day and failed to score a point.
The reinvigorated Rob Turnbull also had his best event for many years, with second and third places. Roger Moran spun out of the first run-off but overcame the cars gearbox issues by starting round 32 in second gear and pushed hard to the finish for second place.
Championship positions one to six are now settled but seven to ten are still just open and may depend on whether Tom New’s car is fit for Doune or whether Deryk Young makes the trip. In ninth and tenth place Will Hall and Eynon Price have not given up in their season long battle in tiny 1600cc Force PC cars and might still catch the evergreen Young.
