SPEEDWAY news and fixtures
(SPEEDWAY 1) WOLVERHAMPTON star Freddie Lindgren is aiming to book his place in next year's Grand Prix when he rides in the GP Challenge at Coventry on September 18 (8pm). He said: "It would take the pressure off if I did get through from Coventry. "I want to be in the top eight as well. But the Grand Prix isn't over yet and there will still be two rounds after the GP Qualifying final." (SPEEDWAY 2) DAVEY Watt will return to his former club Poole as a guest rider for Belle Vue in Thursday's vital Elite League showdown. Watt replaces Jason Crump who is travelling to Slovenia for the Grand Prix - and he'll have the help of Aces mechanic Johnny Bailey. Boss Chris Morton said: "Davey requested some help because he has been so busy so we have arranged for Johnny to go down."
