Red Line launches 2010 Porsche Supercup bid

Red Line Racing and British construction products manufacturer SAS International are joining forces to compete as Team SAS in the 2010 Porsche Supercup. Simon Leonard of Red Line Racing said: “Having competed in the Supercup for two years we are really excited about competing as Team SAS in 2010. As a British team, being supported by a successful British sponsor makes it extra special.”Andrew Jackson of SAS International commented: “As a British manufacturer we relish the opportunity of returning to the world‘s most prestigious one make championship as a highly competitive British team. “Red Line Racing and SAS International are currently competing for the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup GB with James Sutton. Team SAS finished second in the Porsche Supercup in 2008 and won the driver and team championship in the Carrera Cup GB in 2005 and 2006. Red Line Racing finished third in the 2008 Porsche Supercup team championship. Team SAS will be announced at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 1 November, when it joins current teams in this year’s championship all competing to be the first winners of the newly created Abu Dhabi Porsche Supercup Round supporting the F1 World Championship. Currently no drivers have been announced. However, both Red Line Racing and SAS International are eager to ensure the opportunity is given to British Porsche drivers.
