Three-time Indianapolis 500 winnerJohnny Rutherford will participate in a Web show broadcast live Monday,Sept. 14 from the famed Pagoda at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The show will be streamed live from 3:30-4 p.m. (ET) at www.indy500.com withnoted motorsports announcer Bob Jenkins serving as host. During the show,Rutherford will answer selected questions submitted in advance by fans.
Fans can submit questions at www.indy500.com/askjr. Questions must besubmitted by noon (ET) Monday, Sept. 14.
Questions about a variety of topics are encouraged, including Rutherford'sillustrious Indianapolis 500 career, including three victories and threepoles, his on-track battles with fellow legends A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti,Al Unser, Bobby Unser and more, his current role in helping IndyCar Seriesdrivers hone their skills, his racing idols, his hobbies and interests, alook ahead at the 2010 Indianapolis 500 and more. Rutherford, a Fort Worth, Texas, resident nicknamed "Lone Star J.R.," wonthe Indianapolis 500 in 1974, 1976 and 1980.
Tickets for the 2010 Indianapolis 500, scheduled for Sunday, May 30, go onsale to the public Monday, Sept. 14.
