SIR STIRLING MOSS TAKES POLE POSITION AT 80 YEARS OLD IN ROARY THE RACING CAR

Much-loved racing legend, Sir Stirling Moss turns 80 years old on 17th September 2009, and he’s still entertaining fans on the ‘race track’ in the BAFTA nominated pre-school smash hit, Roary The Racing Car, which airs daily on Five’s Milkshake! and Nick Jr.

Roary The Racing Car is narrated by Sir Stirling Moss and like Sir Stirling, the series is truly British, produced at the Chapman Entertainment studios in Altrincham, Cheshire. It combines ground-breaking stop-frame animation and cutting-edge CGI.

Originated by Dave Jenkins, and designed and developed by Bob The Builder and Fifi and The Flowertots creator, Keith Chapman, Roary The Racing Car is an hilarious 10 minute long racing car production.

Sir Stirling Moss comments: “I love being involved in Roary the Racing Car. The programme is a great way for young children to learn who I am.  The show is internationally recognised and provides children with an exciting introduction into the world of motorsport, through fun storylines , fantastic songs and great humour. I have a lot of fun recording the narration and I enjoy working with Peter Kay who voices the main character, Big Chris!”

Sir Stirling Moss will also be joined on the hit series by the veteran voice of motorsport, Murray Walker. As a special guest star, Walker will play himself later this year in the animated racing car cartoon airing daily on Five’s Milkshake! at 7.30am and on Nick Jr. at 3.30pm.

Roary is the fastest growing pre-school boys brand in the UK (Source: June NPD) and the show has now been sold to over 1130 countries worldwide with race fever gripping the imagination of boys and girls globally.
