THE EUROSERIES 3000 BY PARTYPOKER RACING IS AMONG THE FASTEST FEEDER SERIES IN THE WORLD
The Euroseries 3000 by PartyPoker Racing is among the fastest feeder series in the world. This, beyond any doubt, is the result of the performance analysis that can be made after thefirst four rounds of the championship.
Already in the first event, in Portimão, the new Lola B05/52 amazed everyone. With newmechanichs, evolved aerodynamics and a new 550 bhp engine, the car allowed MarcoBonanomi to clinch pole position in 1’31”823, a laptime nearly 2” faster than the onerecorded on the same track by the World Series by Renault. On the Algarve track the fastestRenault car managed a 1’33”462, while driven by the talented Jaime Alguersuari.
The new car was very fast also in Zolder. Comparing its times with the ones recorded by theSuperleague Formula car, the Euroseries 3000 Lola was exactly as fast: 1’19”200 vs1’19”123 in qualifying and 1’19”625 vs 1’19”491 for the race fastest lap.
Despite the Superleague car being so powerful, with a 750 bhp V12 in it, the better aero andmechanic balance of the Lola B05/52 made it capable of the same performances. On the last weekend in Valencia, the Euroseries 3000 by PartyPoker Racing had the occasionto face with the Formula 2 performances, as the Fia feeder series raced there on the 29th ofMay. Despite racing in hotter conditions and on a track that doesn’t allow the driver tounleash all the power coming from the Zytek engine, the Lola B05/52 car was nearly 5”fastest in qualifying (1’23”000 vs 1’27”488) and 3”5 faster (1’24”868 vs 1’28”322) during therace.
Valencia was also the occasion to compare the new car performances with the ones of theold B02/50: the B05/52 was more than 2” faster, showing again how good was the choicemade by Enzo Coloni.
