Ocean Racing hoping to shine at home

For the season finale of the GP2 Main Series in Algarve

Ocean Racing Technology is preparing for a race weekend charged with emotion, the final race of their debut season in the GP2 Main Series when the championship comes to a close this coming weekend on the International Motor Racing track of Algarve, home ground of the Portuguese racing team. Ocean Racing Technology continued to progress throughout their first year in the Formula One feeder series and their drivers, Álvaro Parente and Karun Chandhok, will now be hoping to conclude the season on an high note. Álvaro Parente recently impressed on the Estoril circuit in Portugal when contesting the Superleague Formula race held there, and once again he is hoping to thrill his public by showing them that Ocean Racing Technology is one of the five best teams in the series. "We have constantly improved all season long and we want to show that the team is very much respected in the GP2 Main Series," Parente explained, "I would like to finish the drivers' championship in 5th and to this end I am counting on the Portuguese fans support in one of the most competitive FIA championships." Meanwhile, teammate Karun Chandhok promises to forget his lack of success in the past few races and is hoping to contribute to Ocean Racing Technology's overall strong performances. "This is a very important meeting for the team. We will meet a lot of people who have supported Ocean Racing Technology during the entire season. I have never raced in Portimão but I did run there with a tourism car to try to find the best lines even though it was only approximate. It is a technical track and a very interesting one and even though Tiago won't be there because he is racing in the FIA WTCC, I hope that I will give him a good reason to celebrate." The weather forecast is for some cloud cover but the sun should prevail over the course of the entire weekend. The Algarve races can be followed on the Eurosport network.
