(SPEEDWAY 1)IPSWICH have confirmed that Scott Nicholls and Daniel King are the first names on their 2010 teamsheet.King skippered the Witches last season whilst former Grand Prix man Nicholls rejoined his hometown club midway through the campaign. Ipswich rider/boss Chris Louis said: "This is the best possible start for our teamsheet. Danny was our Rider of the Year in 2009 and Scott is one of the most exciting performers in the world."

(SPEEDWAY 2)SHANE Parker has agreed terms on a move to Somerset after spending six years with Premier League rivals Glasgow.The Rebels have also signed Tommy Allen from Rye House and confirmed that Emil Kramer, Cory Gathercole and Jay Herne will all return next season.Parker said: "The move has given me a fresh challenge as well as a home track somewhat nearer to where I live."

EDINBURGH have made 18-year-old Finnish rider Kalle Katajisto their third signing for next season.Katajisto had a successful late-season stint with the Armadale club this year and should offer them significant lower-order strength.Monarchs director Mike Hunter said: "Kalle showed how much he had improved since he rode for us in 2007. He's been most enthusiastic about continuing and his return has never been in doubt."
