.For the past two seasons in 2008 and 2009 the association betweenSPEEDY Racing and SEBAH Racing in their partnership as SPEEDYRACING TEAM SEBAH has grown and evolved from the GT ranks intothe LMP2 and the LMP1 categories.
With strong results on the track and in both reputation and image, theprestigious watch making brand REBELLION has decided to increase itsinvolvement with the Swiss team.
For 2010, "Speedy-Sebah" will become REBELLION RACING, thusproviding the ideal platform to allow its main partner to further accelerateits global development with maximised exposure.
The 2010 race program will focus on the Le Mans Series and 24 Hoursof Le Mans, where REBELLION RACING hopes that its two LMP1 will beselected.
Other races under the "Le Mans" banner will be considered by the Swissteam depending on the final schedule of the Le Mans Series, which isnot known at this time.
Having proven in 2008 the potential of the LMP2 Lola Coupe and havingsuccessfully stepped up to the LMP1 category in 2009, the team hasdecided to focus its resources on a programme in 2010 in the premierclass of endurance. For the coming season, REBELLION RACING willcampaign two Lola LMP1 coupes, and will not be present in LMP2.The Lola LMP1 Coupes of REBELLION RACING will be powered by V10REBELLION engines. Thus, two Lola-Rebellions will be on the tracksnext season.
The REBELLION V10 is a technological partnership between RebellionTimepieces and Judd Engine Developments Limited. Using the latesttechnology in terms of materials, components and manufacturing has asynergy for Rebellion Timepieces to associate the brand with a raceengine. The technology, performance and reliability values are sharedbetween an exceptional watch and a prototype of the 24 Hours of LeMans.
Both Lola-Rebellion will arrive in 2010 with reworked aerodynamics. TheREBELLION RACING engineers and Lola established a majordevelopment programme at the end of the 2009 season to ensure thecars comply with the 2010 ACO Regulations whilst at the same timeoptimising the performance of the LMP1 coupe. Many elements havealready been tested in the wind tunnel, however the final result will onlybe visible in a few weeks.
For the 2010 season, REBELLION RACING decided to renew andcontinue its partnership with Michelin tyres. The results obtained with theClermont-Ferrand based manufacturer have been very satisfactory andthe team has confidence in the products that will be offered next season.REBELLION RACING is also able to announce three of its drivers for the2010 season. Andrea Belicchi, Neel Jani and Nicolas Prost willspearhead the REBELLION RACING attack.
Their qualities and performance posted in the 2009 Le Mans Series andLe Mans 24 Hours with the Lola LMP1 led the Swiss team to renew theirpartnership for the 2010 season.
The fourth driver for the Le Mans Series and the additional drivers for the24 Hours of Le Mans will be announced at a later date.
