Danica Patrick, the most high-profile female racing driver in the world, has secured another sponsor, with 7-Eleven signing on as an associate sponsor of her No. 7 GoDaddy.com car.
Patrick has long been expected to make the move into Nascar, but appears set to remain with the IndyCar Series for at least the near future. 7-Eleven will also keep up its long-time primary sponsorship of popular Andretti Autosport driver Tony Kanaan.
"7-Eleven will also have a presence on the No. 7 entry as well as with Tony and our winning No. 11," said Rita Bargerhuff, 7-Eleven’s vice president and chief marketing officer. "Tony and Danica will certainly provide a one-two punch for 7-Eleven, both visibly on the track and in promotions throughout the season."
Patrick will race in the 2010 GoDaddy.com No. 7 car, painted bright green and orange. It was unveiled in New York's Times Square this week.
