Long-time Targa Tasmania clerk of course, Ken Roddam, passed away suddenly on Thursday 3 December, following a serious heart attack.
It is with much sadness that the Targa Tasmania community marks Ken passing. Ken has been involved with Targa Tasmania from inception in 1992 and was Deputy Clerk of Course for a number of years before taking on the role of clerk of course in 2004. This year’s event marked his final Targa Tasmania before retirement.
Throughout Tasmania Ken was a well known motor sport identity being heavily involved with club and state rallying. He has also acted in senior roles at countless interstate events, such as Australasian Safari, Classic Adelaide, Bega Rally, Grand Prix Rally and Outback Trials. Ken’s ability to lend his knowledge to any form of motorsport was invaluable to everyone he worked with, he will be greatly missed.
If you are able to join with us to farewell Ken the funeral service will be held on Friday 11th December at 11.30am, Phillip Stevens Funeral Chapel, 28 Riawena Road, Rosny in Hobart.
As a sign of unity and respect we do ask that you wear your favourite piece of Targa gear to symbolise how much Ken was a part of the Targa family.
