Skip Barber Racing School today announced its 2010 MAZDASPEED Challengeschedule, which features the addition of both an eighth Race Weekend and two new venues; GrattanRaceway and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. As part of the MAZDASPEED Motorsports DevelopmentLadder, the MAZDASPEED Challenge champion will be invited to the annual Mazda Club RacingChampions Shoot-out, the winner of which earns a package to compete in the following year’s SCCA ProRacing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup.
Todd Snyder, VP of Competition at Skip Barber Racing School, noted the growth of the Challenge, nowentering its third season. “Last year was a turning point for the MAZDASPEED Challenge, with theseason finished up with strong fields at the last two weekends. Adding an eighth Race Weekend to themix is a vote of confidence for the series.”
