Having recently announced that it will host the FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX on 9-11 July, Silverstone Circuit has now released its event calendar for 2010. The Northamptonshire venue offers the very best in both national and international motor sport, including MotoGP on a newly configured circuit at The Home of British Motor Racing in June of this year. 2010 ticket prices include* access to grandstand seating, free parking, a wealth of off-track entertainment and free entry for children aged 15 years and under**.

1 - 2 May SILVERSTONE SUPERCAR FEATURING THE FIA GT CHAMPIONSHIPS (Advance tickets from £10) Silverstone’s season opener is guaranteed to impress, as some of the world’s finest supercars take to the Grand Prix circuit for the UK’s only round of the FIA GT Championships. Featuring the new FIA GT1 World Championship racing for the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy, along with the first round of the FIA GT2 and GT3 European Championships, there will be six one-hour races from these categories.
18 - 20 June BRITISH MOTORCYCLE GRAND PRIX (MotoGP) (Advance tickets from £15) MotoGP is the pinnacle of two-wheeled motor racing and in 2010 the championship makes its highly anticipated return to Silverstone for the first time since 1986. Some of the world’s most talented riders - including Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo – will be battling it out on the new Arena GP Circuit, which promises to be one of the fastest on the MotoGP calendar.
9 - 11 July 2010 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (Advance tickets from £37.50)*** With the long term future of the FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX secured at Silverstone, this year’s event promises to be one of the UK’s biggest sporting spectacles of 2010. Throw in the return of Michael Schumacher and this year’s Grand Prix looks set to be unmissable.
23 - 25 July SILVERSTONE CLASSIC Renowned for being one of Europe’s most prestigious classic motor racing events, the Silverstone Classic delivers high entry lists and impressive racing. Hosting classic car displays, live music and a funfair, there is plenty of entertainment on offer for all the family.
14 - 15 August BRITISH F3 / GT CHAMPIONSHIP (Advance tickets from £10) The Cooper Tires British F3 International Series and Avon Tyres British GT Championship offer the thrills and spills of two highly competitive racing categories. Many F1 drivers started their single-seater careers in British F3, a series which showcases the very best of the nation’s young racing talent. Meanwhile, iconic marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin and Lamborghini will go wheel-to-wheel in the British GT Championship.
21 - 22 August DUNLOP MSA BRITISH TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP FEATURING SILVERSTONE AIR (Advance tickets from £15) Proving as popular as ever the premier national tin top series never fails to provide plenty of on-track action and close racing. During the 2010 Silverstone BTCC weekend, planes will also be taking to the skies over the circuit as part of the impressive Silverstone Air.
11 - 12 September AUTOSPORT 1000KM OF SILVERSTONE (LE MANS SERIES) The stars and cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be competing in a 1000km six hour race at Silverstone, as part of the Le Mans Series. Former F1 World Champion Nigel Mansell is expected to share the car with sons Greg and Leo at Silverstone’s round of the Championship.
18 - 19 September WORLD SERIES BY RENAULT Silverstone will host the UK’s only round of World Series by Renault. The race weekend provides the perfect proving ground for drivers aiming to make it to Formula One, hoping to emulate the success of recent WSR graduates Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel.
25 - 26 September MCE INSURANCE BRITISH SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP (Advance tickets from £15) The nation’s top riders take on the famous straights and corners at Silverstone for the penultimate round of the fiercely contested British Superbike Championship. Manufacturer representation in the UK’s leading domestic bike series includes Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki.
6 - 7 November WALTER HAYES TROPHY Billed as one of the world’s greatest Formula Ford 1600 events, the Walter Hayes Trophy attracts more than 150 cars, piloted by both established and young drivers. As an entertaining festival of racing, this event provides a perfect season finale for Silverstone in 2010.
