Radio Show Limited, the team behind Radio Le Mans and their long-time travel partners, Travel Destinations have joined forces to announce and exciting new programme for sports car enthusiasts.
The RadioLeMans.com Travel Club will be welcoming its first guests to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2010. “So many of our listeners ask us what is the best way to go racing that we have decided to make their life a bit easier,” said Eve Hewitt Managing Director of RSL. “Travel Destinations are the perfect partners for us as Helen, Andrew and Richard are just as passionate as we are about what we do.”
Director of Travel Destinations Andrew Melley agrees that this is an obvious collaboration. “We have had a successful partnership with RSL for three years now and right from the start we talked about getting a proper Radiolemans.com Travel Club started. It’s been so important to get the offering right.”
The first Travel Club event will be the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June and the RLM.com guests will benefit from their own secure campsite at the very popular Porsche Curves. The Travel Club campsite is located trackside at the Porsche Curves section of the track and will have 24 hours security and superior serviced showers and toilets, available only to campsite guests. This particular campsite is exclusive to Travel Destinations, all campers will be our customers, and so you will be among like-minded race fans.
Aside from a great location there’s a variety of crossing options on offer plus special features that are unique to the Travel Club. “We are putting together a special programme for our guests that will include the Radio Le Mans staff making an appearance on Friday night, with some exclusive ‘can’t be bought’ give-ways,” explains presenter John Hindhaugh. “We are looking to revive the spirit of the live campsite tour programmes that were so popular a few years ago. Plus everyone who books with us will have the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped get Radio Le Mans on the air for another year.”Richard Webb, Director of Travel Destinations understands the need to be close to the event. “Many people like to stay at the circuit, so as not to miss any of the racing action across the 24 hours, but are unsure about parking their cars, or camping in the public sites. With a viewing area located adjacent to our campsite this exclusive trackside campsite is a perfect solution.”
Plans are well advanced for the Le Mans Classic and other major events that are covered by the RSL team as Eve Hewitt explains. “There’s massive confidence in knowing that Travel Destinations are both ABTA and ATOL bonded. That means it’s possible that in future we can offer our Club guests packages including air travel to take in events that are further afield.”
