The 2010 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro for production based touring cars is on this weekend 12 – 14 February at Mount Panorama.
The event will feature twelve different manufacturers and 27 different models of Australia's fastest road going performance cars with drivers including Paul Morris, John Bowe, Cameron McConville, James Moffat, Glenn Seton, Jason Bargwanna, Neil Crompton, Eric Bana, Jason Bright, Allan Simonsen, Warren Luff and Leanne Tander. Cars include BMW 335i, Subaru WRX STi, FPV F6, HSV GTS, Shelby Mustang GT500, Mazda 3 MPS, Renault Clio 197, Mitsubishi Evo.

Moffat to drive FPV at Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour
James Moffat, son of Allan four time winner of Bathurst 12 Hour (1970, 71, 73 and 77) will step into the Ford FPV, FG F6 in Class B – Harrop High Performace (Rear Wheel Drive).
Coincidentally Allan Moffat has just been appointed the ambassador for FPV and James has just signed to race Enduros with Ford Performance Racing in V8 Supercars.
Armor All Pole Position Award For Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour
As the build up to the ARMOR ALL Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro (February 12 – 14) continues, the official naming rights partner ARMOR ALL®, manufacturer of some of the World’s top car care products, will also supply the Armor All Pole Position Award for the second consecutive year.
The ARMOR ALL® Pole Position Award will be a highly sought after trophy during qualifying on Saturday February 13th with the winning team securing a $2,500 bonus courtesy of the naming rights partner.
Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Announces Official Charity
The Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro has given the “thumbs up” to the Prostate Foundation of Australia as the official charity for the production based motor racing endurance event to be held 12 – 14 February 2010.
The Foundation is funding research into the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate cancer.
Councillor’s Ian North and Bobby Bourke have come up with a “Tie Challenge initiative” to support the cause (a first for the Guinness Book of World Records). Their aim is to collect 6,500 ties and hang them around Mount Panorama the day before the Event (Thursday, 11th February, 2010).
Bana’s Bathurst Return
Eric Bana, who has starred in such films as Chopper, Black Hawk Down, Hulk, Troy and Munich, has competed in several Targa Tasmania events the Porsche Challenge and Australian GT Championship previously but the ARMOR ALL Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro has become the biggest race of the 41 year-old’s racing career. He will return to the track with 2009 teammates, Tim Leahey and Peter Hill in the same Mitsubishi Evo X.
Defending Champion Hopes To Regain Bathurst 12 Hour Honours
Team Ralliart’s Alan Heaphy has re-entered the 2009 winning Mitsubishi Evo X that was driven to victory by Damien White, Rod Salmon and Tony Longhurst into the 2010 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro, 12 – 14 February.
Bright/Simonsen/Zukanovic to share 12 Hour Shelby Mustang
Team Action Racing have announced V8 Supercar driver, Jason Bright as the third driver in the newly built Shelby Mustang GT 500 to compete in the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro, 12 – 14 February at Mount Panorama.
77 Year Old Former Bathurst Winner to Compete in 2010 12 Hour
77 year old, Bob Holden will make his 35th appearance at Bathurst when he competes in the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro in a Toyota Yaris in Class E – Production (Small). Holden won the 1966 Bathurst 1000 in a Cooper S and will drive his Yaris with Justin Matthews and Craig Bradshaw.
Holden is the oldest and also most experienced driver to ever compete at the Event.

Eight family teams have entered the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro, 12 – 14 February 2010.
They include, five father and son duo’s of: Tony and Klark Quinn, David and Des Wall, Barry and Nathan Morcom, Aaron and Matt McGill and Garth and Brian Walden, one Daughter and Father with Lauren and Michael Gray, one Brothers duo, James and Theo Kondouris and a family trio with Dad and former Bathurst winner, Peter and son’s Ryan and Gerard McLeod.
