GP3 Series cars delivery complete

GP3 Series teams took delivery of their third and final cars this week, and they are now ready for the first official test on 4th  – 5th  March at Circuit Paul Ricard.

GP3  teams  will  now  have  two  weeks  to  get  familiar  with  their  new  machinery  and with  their newly  signed  drivers  before  they  tackle  the  season.

The  2010  line-up  already  boasts  a  truly international field, and with drivers from as young as 17 the new Series will live up to its promise to be an exciting and competitive Series and a training ground for GP2 and Formula One.

Bruno  Michel,  GP3 Organiser  said: “I’m pleased to  say  that  we have  been  able to  keep to schedule on all  stages of the  new GP3 car  development,  fabrication and delivery to the teams. Now we can’t wait to see the drivers and teams in action.” He continued, “GP3 will run alongside Formula   One   and   GP2   offering  an  incredible   and   unique   chance   for  young   drivers   to   get experience  and  be  seen   and  monitored  throughout  the   season  by   the  motorsport  experts. Therefore,  I  believe that for  young and  talented drivers with ambition  joining the Series  is  the best opportunity to pave the way for their future.” Coinciding  with  the first  official test the GP3 Series website will  be  launched. The new site  will keep  fans bang up-to-date with  the Series, whilst getting  to  know  the teams  and  the aspiring Formula One stars of tomorrow.
