Nico Rosberg was back in the MGP W01 car yesterday as the MERCEDES GP PETRONASteam continued this week's test programme in Jerez, Spain. Poor weathercontinued to affect the testing action with frequent heavy rain showers andstrong winds causing a frustrating day for the teams and drivers.
The team worked hard to make the best of the ever-changing conditions withNico completing a wet set-up programme in the morning and focusing on raceprocedures including practice pit stops in the afternoon when the trackconditions became too poor for any meaningful running. Nico completed 71laps today.
Michael Schumacher will drive the MGP W01 today with Nico completing theprogramme on Saturday.
Nico Rosberg: "On the positive side, we achieved some good mileage todaydespite the conditions and completed a lot of our systems work. It wasuseful for me to practice pit stops and get into the routine for the races. However it has been difficult and frustrating with the weather as we'reobviously not able to learn as much as we could with a dry track. But that'sthe same for everyone and we will hope for an improvement over the next twodays."
