Fabio Onidi will race in Auto GP. The italian driver signed an agreement with team Lazarus inorder to be on the series starting grid and compete for the 1.2 million euros prize money.22 years old, from Milan, Onidi has a great racing experience considering his young age.Thanks to a really good career management, Fabio raced on very different cars and, mostimportantly, in lots of different countries as he left Italy very soon, when he was just 16.
In 2004 he raced in Germany in the F.Bmw Adac, where he was third among the debutingdrivers, then in 2006 he went to England to race in the F.Renault UK, being the best amongthe rookies. In 2008, when he was 20, he jumped in a F.3000 car and was immediatelycompetitive, finishing runner-up in the Euroseries 3000 standings with two wins and sixpodium finishes. Choosing Lazarus, Fabio will find one of the makers of that great season;Tancredi Pagiaro, owner and team manager of the new outfit, was his mentor also at GPRacing in 2008. The harmony between Onidi and Pagiaro, together with the driver’s talent onsuch powerful cars, are an hint that this duo will surely be among the ones to watch in thecoming season.
