Silverstone General Admission F1 race day tickets sold out

Grandstand tickets available for all days - ‘General Admission’ tickets still on sale for Practice and Qualifying -

NEW Grandstand seats at Arena and Chapel Following a high level of demand for tickets to the 2010 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND  PRIX  (9-11  July),  Silverstone  has  announced  that  ‘General  Admission’  race  day tickets  have  now  sold  out.  However,  three-day  Grandstand*  and  individual  day  tickets  for Practice  on  the  Friday  and  Qualifying  on  the  Saturday  are  still  available,  as  anticipation mounts ahead of the F1 season. Silverstone  has  added  an  exciting  new  section  of  track  to  the  Grand  Prix  circuit  in  2010, which  has  provided  some  great  new  grandstand  locations.

Two  new  grandstands  will  be situated  in  the  new  ‘Arena  Complex’,  while  a third will be added at  ‘Chapel’. Fans are still encouraged  to  book  early  to  avoid  disappointment,  as  the  Abbey,  Copse  C  and  Copse  D grandstands have all reached sell-out point following considerable interest in tickets.

For the 2010 British Grand Prix, fans also have the added benefits of new elevated spectator banking at Abbey and Becketts, a higher grandstand along Pits Straight overlooking the pits, and a re-positioned grandstand at Becketts for an improved viewing experience. Meanwhile, a new spectator area at Vale - in front of the raised Vale grandstand - is being opened up to allow fans to get closer to the on-track action.

Richard  Phillips,  Managing  Director  of  Silverstone  Circuits  Limited,  commented,  “British Grand Prix tickets have been selling well over the last few months, but we still have a long way to go to sell-out in all areas. Fans have made the most of our early booking offers and the ‘General Admission’ tickets are always among the first to sell-out. Whilst they don’t offer access to grandstands, fans enjoy being able to watch the action from different locations, on raised banks around the circuit. These tickets are extremely popular, and have sold out even faster than in previous years.”

Tickets for the 2010 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX can be booked 24 hours a day, seven days a week at silverstone.co.uk, or by calling 0844 3728 300.

*  The  location  of  several  grandstands  will  have  changed  for  the  2010  FORMULA  1  BRITISH  GRAND  PRIX. Customers are advised to clarify grandstand positions, prior to purchasing their tickets
