Snow ends Facu Regalia BMW Europe test

The Monza circuit is under a strong snow storm which cancelled the Facu Regalia Formula BMW Europe test at the historical Italian track.

The eighteen years old driver was at Monza to continue the test that began Tuesday, but the weather conditions were unbelievable – it snowed since Tuesday afternoon – and the organization decided to put an end to it. It was considered extending the test for one more day, but the downsides of that solution were more important than its upsides and it was ruled out.

Regalia expected to be between the fastest runners and not tenth, but he didn’t use new tires in the end of the session and a chassis problem prevented him being faster. “The mechanics discovered that we have a problem in the car, because it touches the ground in every corner of the circuit, which makes us lose some time. This leaves us confident, because we understood why we weren’t between fastest drivers yesterday and allows us to look to the next tests with confidence”, said the Hispano-Argentinean driver.

Even with the problems that he suffered, Facu Regalia was the best within his team, Eifelland Racing, and, now, the young driver is looking forward for the next Formula BMW Europe test session, that will be held at Circuit de Catalunya between March 21st and March 22nd, the same circuit where the season will start in May.
