Rounds 1 & 2: Shenington - 13th/14th MarchFour-times MSA British Kart Champion Mark Litchfield got his title bid off to a winning start at Shenington, aided by two engine failures for closest rival Jordan Chamberlain. After starting from sixth in the first of two finals after a carburettor issue in one of the heats, Litchfield closed rapidly on race leader Chamberlain. Suddenly, though, a part of Chamberlain's engine flew off. “He [Chamberlain] was unscrewing the adjuster on the power valve and it fell out of his hand,” Litchfield said.  With Chamberlain sidelined, Litchfield cruised to victory ahead of Jonathan Walker. In the second final Chamberlain climbed from the back of the field to sixth position, only for a total engine failure to force another retirement.  Litchfield thus scored a lights-to-flag victory, well over a second clear of Walker. “Usually round one has been a disaster for me in previous years, so with two wins it can’t be any better than this,” he said. Results - Final 1           Results - Final 21 Mark Litchfield               1 Mark Litchfield2 Jonathan Walker            2 Jonathan Walker3 James Godbehere         3 James Godbehere4 Elliot Burton                  4 Tom Grice5 Tom Grice                     5 Elliot Burton6 Bobby Game                 6 Raymie EastwoodRounds 3 & 4: Larkhall - 24th/25th April
