Parathyroid.com has announced a contingency awards package totaling$9,000 for drivers participating in the BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda. Startingwith the season opening weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the “Parathyroid.com Winner’s CircleAward” will be paid to the top three point earners at each race weekend.
Parathyroid.com will also award two prizes at the season ending banquet. The $1000 “Parathyroid.comMost Improved Driver Award” will be presented to the driver who has made the biggest improvementover the course of the season as voted on by the Skip Barber National Core Coaches. A second $1000prize, the “Parathyroid.com Spirit of Racing Award”, will be given to the driver who has been chosen bytheir peers to be the one who is most anxious to help his/her fellow drivers, showing respect for his/herfellow drivers on and off the track.
“The young men and women racing in this series are some of the most talented young drivers in theworld.” said Parathyroid.com founder and Skip Barber cup driver Dr. Jim Norman. “Our goal is to notonly supplement their earnings as they get their professional racing careers up to speed, but to help themlearn about prize money and relationships with sponsors.”

At Homestead-Miami Speedway, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Spencer Pigot earned66 points on the strength of a pole, a win and a third place finish to pick up the top prize of $500. Secondwas Dennis Trebing earned $300 with a pole, a win and an eighth place finish, while 2009 Skip BarberSummer Race Series champion Nick Andries, with fifth and second place finishes, will receive $200 fromParathyroid.com.
