Auto GP has welcomed Julian Leal in the Series. The 19 years-old driver from Colombiawill be on the championship grid, fielded by Trident Racing, and will contest the whole season,starting in Brno on April 24 and ending in Monza on the 3rd of October.
Despite his young age, Leal already has a lot of experience on powerful machinery: in 2007and 2008 he raced in Formula 3000, winning the Italian Championship in his second season.In 2009, then, Julian switched to World Series by Renault, championship that he will contestalso in 2010 alongside Auto GP.
This means that he will have a very intense season at the highest level in motorsport; thecommitment in Auto GP will not only be something important for his experience as a driver,but also a chance to aim for the 200.000 euros prize money that the championship will awardat each event to the six best placed drivers.
Enzo Coloni: “We are really happy of having Julian in the Series. He already raced with us,and we know very well his driving skills, that allowed him to win the Italian Championship.Compared to then, now he is a even better racer, so he will be a tough opponent foreverybody”.
