The Porsche Carrera Cup GB will again have a superb television package in 2010, with extensive coverage in the 'Motorsport UK' series on both ITV1 and ITV4. In addition, a number of Carrera Cup GB races will feature during the live coverage of the BTCC race days on ITV4.'Motorsport UK' will cover the BTCC support races in a run of 34 hour-long programmes, and will benefit from two prime time slots on ITV4 and a late night screening on ITV1. In addition, Motorsport UK will also be screened on the Men and Motors channel. In total, Motorsport UK will have four hours of broadcast per programme, giving a total of 136 hours across three channels.The TV package for the Carrera Cup works hand-in-hand with the unrivalled TV arrangements for the BTCC, which will feature extensive coverage on ITV4 during a live programme on each of the season's ten race days. Whilst this coverage focuses on the BTCC races, some of the support race action, including the Carrera Cup GB, will again feature within this major broadcast, which has been extended in 2010 to run for six and a half hours on each race day. Each programme will run from 11.30am until 6pm.During the 2009 season, the Carrera Cup GB enjoyed considerable race day coverage within the live BTCC programmes on ITV4, with 11 races broadcast live and a further four races recorded and shown on the same day to an average audience of 1.38 million viewers per programme.
