Alvaro Parente will defend FutebolClubedo Porto colours in this year Superleague Formula by Sonangolseason, a championship that has been gathering competitiveness and where he has already won.

The young gun from Oporto quality didn’t escape to the biggest club of his hometown as he gave it a win in the second race of the Estorilround of the last year’s championship, the only weekend in which he took part.

Knowing that could succeed with Alvaro Parente, FutebolClubedo Porto invited him to drive its car in this year Superleague Formula by Sonangolseason, something that makes him very proud. “As a fan, it’s a great honour for me to be able to defend my club colours in this championship. Last year I could understand at Estorilthe competitiveness that these series already has and I could feel the support from the fans, which was great. The car is different from the GP2 car, but it’s very interesting to drive and it’s a singleseater, which is good to keep me sharp”, said the driver who won the Formula 3 British Championship 2005 and the World Series by Renault 2007.

As is expected in a driver of his talent, his goals are ambitious and Alvaro Parente looks to Superleague Formula by Sonangolas way to improve his C.V.. The Portuguese driver knows that he will have in Reid Motorsport –an AtechGrand Prix arm –a strong technical department, a team that was impressed by him since the Estorilweekend. “When I get in a competition, my goal is to win. I know it won’t be easy, as there will be on track very good drivers. However, I think with effort and work, and with the team’s help, we can fight for the top position in each race and, hopefully, for the championship”, underlined the Portuguese driver.

The Superleague Formula by Sonagolseason will start at April 3rdand 4th, at Silverstone, will have twelve rounds and the ninth will be held at AutodromoInternacionaldo Algarve at September 18thand 19th.
