CRAIG Branney is the dangerman for Berwick in their Good Friday visit to Workington - that's according to Comets boss Ian Thomas.Ex-Comet Branney has made a fine start to the season in two meetings against Newcastle and is relishing the prospect of a Derwent Park return.Said Thomas: "Craig knows Derwent Park like the back of his hand, having been brought up round the Workington track and he has made a good start to the season."Of course the Berwick number one Adrian Rymel was with us last year and weall know how well he goes round Derwent Park."With those two in the side, and the opportunity for extra rides in Lee's absence, it means we will have to work hard to get maximum points."

BELLE Vue new boy Leigh Lanham is desperate to put six months of frustration behind him when he makes his Elite League debut in the Good Friday home match against champions Wolverhampton (1pm).The 32-year-old Ipswich-based rider is back in action after suffering a complicated shoulder dislocation last September which brought a premature end to his season.Lanham aims to put a sting in the Aces tail in the lunchtime fixture at Kirkmanshulme Lane, saying: "My preparations have gone very well. It is good to be back on a bike after the injury and there have been no after-effects.I have worked very hard on my fitness over the winter but there is no substitute for getting on a bike."
