Lloyd Confirms TNT Post sponsorship for Skip Barber National Championship

Daniel Lloyd is proud to announce a key sponsorship agreement with leading UK postal operator TNT Post – part of global giant TNT Group.

The Huddersfield 18-year-old, who is currently competing in America in the BF Goodrich/Skip Barber National Championship presented by Mazda, will carry TNT Post branding on his race car and crash helmet throughout the 2010 season as part of the deal.

Confirming the agreement, managing director of TNT Post in the North, Andy Goddard, commented: “We are very happy to support such a bright, young sporting talent. Daniel has already proven he is one of the UK’s top young racing drivers so we’re delighted to help support his first season of racing in America. TNT Post is known for its quality of service and efficiency, leading us to a shared goal with Daniel: to be the best.”

Speaking on his new agreement with TNT Post UK, Daniel said: “I’m obviously delighted to be involved with TNT Post and I want to thank it for the support. I’m very proud to have such a fantastic brand associated with my racing this season and I aim to deliver as much success as I possibly can throughout the course of the year.”

Graduating to car racing in 2008 after winning the prestigious Stars of Tomorrow BRDC Scholarship in karting, Daniel made an immediate impact in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting Ginetta Junior series by claiming three race victories, two further podiums and fourth overall in the standings.

Stepping-up to the hugely competitive world of Renault Clio Cup racing in 2009, the rapid teenager achieved four top six finishes, eight more top 10 results and ended the championship in 11th position. He then secured his maiden car racing title with victory in the 2009 ELF Renault Clio Winter Cup.

Electing to move into single-seater racing this year in the American-based BF Goodrich/Skip Barber National Championship presented by Mazda, Daniel has already made an excellent start by securing two top 10 finishes on his debut at Homestead Miami Speedway, Florida, in early March and a debut pole position and top five result last time out at Sebring International Raceway, Florida.
