The Spanish-Argentinean driver completed his first test day yesterday of the two day schedule at Silverstone with good results and today expects to be among the fastest drivers.
Regalia worked with Eifelland Racing to set up his car to tackle the Formula BMW Europe first round, that will be held at Circuit de Catalunya May 7th and 8th.
In the morning, all the drivers had the opportunity to do a race simulation and the eighteen years old driver signed the seventh fastest lap, the fastest among the Eifelland Racing drivers.
At the end of the day, Facu Regalia said: “I would prefer to be nearer the top. However, we used just one set of tires, and the others teams used up to three. Besides, in my flying lap there were a red flag and, when I went to the track again, the tires’ temperature drop off and lost grip”.
“I think that, if it doesn’t rain tomorrow, the tires that I didn’t use today can help me to reach the top positions. I want to find that half a second that is escaping from me and we, me and the team, are working flat-out to find it”.
