FESTIVAL OF MOTORSPORT PROVIDES GREAT ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL THE FAMILY

ARE you looking for somewhere different and exciting to entertain the children? Rockingham offers families the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day out at a price they can afford.

With children aged 15 and under getting in FREE, and adult admission tickets remaining at 2008 prices, families are guaranteed the best of British club racing and the chance to enjoy quality time together at a price they can afford.

Rockingham is hosting its first race meeting of the new motor racing season with the opening round of the Dunlop Great & British Motorsport Festival taking place at the Northamptonshire circuit this weekend (April 10/11).

Fans have until midday on tomorrow (Friday, April 9) to book tickets in advance and save up to 20 per cent on all adult admission prices. Tickets for the main race day on Sunday (April 11) cost just £12, while weekend passes are priced at £18 and Saturday tickets £8.

The Dunlop Great & British Motorsport Festival offers a variety of close and exciting sportscar action for the whole family from the Radical UK Cup and Radical Club Cup, while the British Touring Car stars of the future battle it out wheel-to-wheel in the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup.

MINI lovers, new and old, can enjoy a feast of racing from the UK’s longest running single make formula, the MINI Se7en Championship as well as the modified 1300 MINI Miglia Championship and the MINI challenge.

To round off the meeting there will be 150mph paint-swapping action from the 2010 Pickup Truck Championship series on Europe’s fastest racing circuit - the famous Rockingham 1.5-mile banked oval.

The entertainment won’t be confined to the track and on race day there will be plenty for all the family to enjoy, including children’s entertainers and the chance to get in the driving seat of Rockingham’s in-house simulators. Grandstand seats and access to the paddock area are free.

Both race day and weekend passes can be purchased on the gate and cost £15 and £20 respectively. Tickets are also available for practice and qualifying sessions on the Saturday (April 10), and are priced at £10.

Season passes for 2010 are also available and will provide holders access to a minimum of 10 race events at Rockingham and cost just £115. That is a saving of more than 20 per cent.

Advance bookings can be made on-line at rockingham.co.uk or via the ticket hotline on 01536 500500. Fans who are registered disabled can apply for a free season pass or event ticket for their carer. Written proof is required.
