Regalia happy with Silverstone Formula BMW Europe test

Facu Regalia ended the Formula BMW Europe test session at Silverstone yesterday. He was the fastest within his team and he feels that his car has a good potential for the season’s first weekend.

The Spanish-Argentinean driver worked hard in the last two days to find a good set-up for the Eifelland Racing single-seater, ready for the start of the championship, which will be held at Circuit de Catalunya in less than a month.

The 18 year old young gun was happy with the development made by his team, as his car showed a promising handling. “I leave Silverstone with confidence. The car is much better, be it in the qualifying set-up or in the race set-up. The car is efficient and competitive, something that leaves me confident for the season.”, said Facu Regalia that added: “We still have one more test to do, which will help us to evolve a little more. I’m very happy with way we have been evaluating the car”.

He was tenth fastest, something that didn’t worried him. “We are still working in the car’s set-up and we didn’t go for a time. In my best lap I made a small error that cost me some time and, which prevented me to be among the fastest”. Besides, the timesheet wasn’t very reliable: “Some drivers used at Becketts a line outside the track to do their times and I, as all the drivers of the team, decided to drive within the circuit limits so we could prepare in the best way the Silverstone weekend”.

The pre-season is getting near from its end, as, after the Spa-Francorchamps test cancelation, there are only two more test-days, that will be held at Zandvoort at April 20th and 21st.
