LAKESIDE boss Jon Cook saw his side pull off a stunning win at Swindon and then declared "our season starts now!"Skipper Adam Shields inspired the victory with a 13-point haul and he had good support from Krzysztof Kasprzak who stormed to three wins in his 11-point score.Said Cook: "I'm delighted with that result and hopefully this marks the proper start of our season. Special praise must go to Adam Shields, he beat Leigh Adams in Heats 13 and 15 in a true captain's performance."

PAUL Fry's funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 20.Fry, one of the sport's most popular riders with a variety of clubs down the years, died last week.The service will take place at St Paul's Church, Tupsley, Hereford at 1pm followed by cremation at 2.15pm.Family flowers only - donations can be made to St Michael's Hospice,Hereford, and the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund.
