The UK's number one and original Extreme Enduro is nearly here. The TOUGH ONE 2011 at the new awesome, daunting and perfect Back Cowm Quarry, Nr Rochdale is going to be a day of off road extreme Enduro action that no one will forget in a hurry.
Now in its seventh edition of running, THE TOUGH ONE has grown year by year in stature and reputation, all around the World and moving to this new venue for 2011 is going to enhance that feeling even more, nothing else is more certain.
A fresh face will stand on that coveted TOUGH ONE podium at the end of three gruelling hours of extreme Enduro riding and be the coveted winner of an event that is certainly a high profile race on any riders CV.
Instead of the last few years expected result, (the event has been dominated by David Knight and Taddy Blazusiak!!), other British and Overseas riders will battle out over this unforgiving and super gnarly terrain to become the hero for the day and take the events spoils.
With a course that is 7.5k per lap in length, a serious challenge on every inch of the course, and an entry list that reads as a who's who from the extreme Enduro World, the action and viewing for the spectators is going to be superb.
Graham Jarvis, The Factory Husaberg Star and winner of Hells Gate Extreme just weeks ago must start as the event favourite, his trials skills and growing reputation as and a World Extreme Enduro Star along with his desire to win all the outdoor extreme Enduro events will certainly get the British fans behind him as he battles the likes of Andreas Lettinbichler, Gerhard Forster and the awesome Xavi Gallindo to take the kings title.
These overseas riders are extreme specialists and warhorses with all the main extreme events in the world under their belts, Erzberg, Romainiacs, Roof Of Africa , Hells Gate and of course the TOUGH ONE making up the five big events that will form the WORLD EXTREME ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP.
Wayne Braybrook (Husaberg UK) is never off the Tough One's podium and this year, we're sure will be no different for the hardy ex trials and Enduro star that has in fact stood aloft at the top of some of the Worlds hardest and toughest Enduro's.
A special mention must go to Andy Cripps, he is Gas Gas UK's top man at the event and is 100% a crowd pleaser, this is Crippsy's back yard and he has promised to deliver a performance the crowd will never forget!
With a truly International line up and the event support of RED BULL, RB DJ, The Famous RB arch and the RB Wings team on hand, mix in the Voice of Motorcycling, Jack Burnicle as the master of ceremonies for the day, Sky Sports with their film crew and TV production team.
Displays from KTM UK and HUSABERG UK (also event partners) and the three action packed races that include the superbly entertaining GAS GAS UK SPEED TRIAL, the Brave souls in the CLUBMAN + VETREAN support race and of course the main 3hr TOUGH ONE including all the usual Tough One ingredients, Lorry's, cars, logs, Tyres and of course, millions of rocks and gulley's and the day guarantees value and action for the lucky spectators.
