Auto One V8 Ute Series, Sieders industrious new deal
David Sieders unveiled his new look Ford XR8 Ute at St Marys (NSW) yesterday in the lead up to the opening round of the 2011 Auto One V8 Ute Series – protected by Armor All.The reigning 2010 V8 Ute Series Rookie of the Year spent the morning doing a promotional photo shoot, showing off his brand new livery, including naming rights partner in the national buying group Australian Industrial Supplies (AIS).“It’s awesome to have a national organisation that has the capacity and interest to grow with me and my endeavours, like we’ve found with Australian Industrial Supplies,” said Sieders, “we’ve been given a great welcome by the organisation already, and I’m excited about some of the plans for this year”.“The Utes head to Barbagallo this year, making the category a truly national championship, and, with AIS on board, we’re going to be quite busy at every meeting when we’re not in the car – which is a great position to be in.”Consisting of over 120 locally owned member-stores across the country, AIS prides itself on being “the tradesman’s choice”, and recently appointed Group General Manager, Chris Potaris, is very pleased to associate the AIS brand with Sieders Racing.“This new partnership with David and the Sieders Racing Team will provide our national membership, staff, customers and suppliers an exciting focal point and a unique promotional platform,” said Potaris.“All of our stores are owned and operated by local and proud independents, and run with the tradesman in mind…I don’t think there is a more opportune time than now, we continue to grow nationally, or ideal arena to promote our services and range right across the country than the V8 Utes.”As a long-term supporter of the Sieders Racing Team, and local AIS Store owner, Bruce Hall, was proud to see the arrangement come together, and more than happy to offer his forecourt up for yesterday’s unveiling.“We’ve known and supported the Sieders for a long-time now,” said Hall, “It’s great to be part of a bigger picture for David [Sieders], and I’m confident that he’ll be a great asset for the AIS.”“As a local member of the AIS, this partnership is going to give us smaller guys access to great promotional opportunities andIn addition to the new deal with Australian Industrial Supplies, Sieders’ new livery includes some familiar supporters in Bisley Workwear, OneSteel Reinforcing and Dirty Dog Eyewear, as well as Enviro Pallets and In-Front Technologies as a couple of new minor partners.“We had such a great year on the track last year, and that momentum seems to have carried over into our off-track negotiations as well,” said Sieders, “last year we went to the first round of the V8 Utes with very little support, and this year we have very little space left on the car...What a difference 12 months can make.”Whilst celebrating the new arrangements for 2011, Sieders also took a moment to acknowledge the invaluable support provided by last year’s naming rights partner, Nulon Oil.“We had great support from Nulon Oil last year, which it allowed us to concentrate on the season, instead of being just a round-by-round prospect,” said Sieders, “unfortunately, other commitments had prevented them from resigning in the same capacity for 2011, but we’ll maintain a close relationship.”The Sieders Racing Team will get it’s first track-time for 2011 when they head to Wakefield Park (Goulburn, NSW) for testing on Thursday, 10th March.“We’ve put a lot of work into these cars in the break, and it’s been almost two months since our last track day, so we’re all pretty eager to get behind the wheel and see what we can do”.
