BERWICK boss Ian Rae has given a glowing report of his new-look team's official practice session at Shielfield Park. The Bandits, who have appointed Lee Complin as captain, kick off the new season with home and away clashes against Newcastle this weekend.Rae said: "They are just so 'together' I'm delighted. Everyone was working to help one another out over silencers and advice on how to ride the circuit."Our new captain spent a long time out at the starting gate with our reserves, especially Tamas Sike, offering advice. It is just so refreshing, I can't wait and they can't wait for Saturday night!"(SPEEDWAY 2)
RONNIE Correy is to come out of retirement to race in two of the American touring team's fixtures next month. The 44-year-old is best known for his long service to Wolverhampton, and one of his meetings will be back at Monmore Green when the tourists face Dudley.Tour chief Steve Evans said: "I asked Ronnie almost tongue in cheek if he was interested in having a skid. I emailed him the dates and he came back and said he would ride in our meeting at Rye House and he would love to face the Heathens at Monmore Green."He will add some powerful strength to the team and I guess one last crack at beating the Heathens is something Ronnie just couldn't resist!"
