BIRMINGHAM boss Graham Drury is desperate to launch the new Elite League eraof racing at Perry Barr on Thursday with a win.All seven Brummies riders will be making their debuts for the club in thefirst leg of the BBC WM Trophy against local rivals Wolverhampton.Drury said: "It's going to be a tough meeting because we have seven riderswho have never raced together before so we don't know what we are going toget."But I'd take a one-point win if I had to, any kind of win would do for meto take to Wolverhampton on Monday."

RYE House have named Joe Haines as a guest rider for both legs of theirseason-opening Anglia Cup clashes with Ipswich.Haines, who rode for the Rockets in 2009, is currently without a team placein the UK after making a remarkable recovery from serious injury sustainedin Australia over the winter.The reigning British Under-21 Champion comes in to replace Steve Boxall, whosuffered an upper arm injury at Rye House Stadium on Friday morning.The club are still investigating their options to cover for Boxall's absenceon a longer-term basis.
