Gerard Barrabeig will be at Mugello, one of the most spectacular circuits in Italy, next Tuesday and Wednesday, where he will have a another test battery with his Formula Abarth team – BVM Target.
The Catalan youngster will continue his adaptation to the single-seaters and to prepare himself for his debut in car racing.
The sixteen years old driver, who will take part this year in the Formula Abarth European and Italian Championships, is looking forward to be at the wheel of his car again. “Mugello is a circuit that I have to discover, because I was never there. I’m wishing to tackle the track as soon as I can, because I was told that it has a very selective lay-out”, explained the young driver who takes part in the Programa de Pilotos de Automovilismo – a program supported by Secretaria General del Deporte de la Generalitat de Catalunya, RACC, Circuit de Catalunya and Federación Catalana de Automovilismo.
Gerard Barrabeig is heading to the Italian circuit with clear goals – to adapt himself to the Tatuus, the car in which he will tackle the Formula Abarth Italian and European series. “The testing program is obvious. In the first day I’ll try to understand the track and in the second, Wednesday, I’ll try to acclimatize to the car and get good lap-times”, said with confidence the sixteen years old driver.
